1) About Us

JZ Web Design is a trading name of Comp Service, a sole trader business registered in Ireland. We offer custom web design, WordPress hosting, and website maintenance services to clients in Ireland and internationally.

These terms apply to all services provided by JZ Web Design. By accepting a quote or project proposal, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2) Project Scope

All work will be completed as described in the agreed project quote or proposal. Any features, pages, or services not listed in the original agreement will be treated as out-of-scope and may incur additional costs.

3) Payments & Deposits

  • A deposit of 50% is required before work begins on any new project.
  • The remaining 50% is due upon completion, prior to website launch or handover.
  • Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late payments may result in project delays or temporary suspension of services.

4) Deadlines & Delivery

Estimated timelines will be provided during the proposal stage and depend on the client supplying required content, approvals, and feedback in a timely manner.

JZ Web Design is not responsible for delays caused by client inaction, third-party services, or force majeure events.

5) Revisions

Unless otherwise stated in the proposal, most projects include up to 2 rounds of revisions during the design phase. Additional changes may be billed at our standard hourly rate.

6) Hosting & Maintenance

We offer optional hosting and WordPress maintenance services. While we take reasonable care to ensure site uptime, security, and performance, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or be held responsible for issues caused by third-party plugins, software conflicts, or outside attacks.

Cancellation of hosting or care plans must be requested in writing with at least 7 days’ notice before the next billing period.

7) Intellectual Property & Ownership

  • Upon full payment, the client owns the final website design, code, and content.
  • We retain the right to display the project in our portfolio and marketing materials.
  • Licenses for third-party themes, plugins, or assets may remain under the developer account unless otherwise agreed.

8) Refund Policy

Due to the time-intensive and custom nature of our services, all deposits are non-refundable once work has started. Refunds for unused work may be considered at our discretion in exceptional cases.

9) Cancellation Policy

  • Clients may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice.
  • Any work completed up to that point will be invoiced accordingly.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a project if communication breaks down or payment terms are not met.

10) Liability

We are not liable for losses, damages, or interruptions resulting from server downtime, software updates, third-party tools, or issues outside our control. We are also not responsible for any loss of income resulting from website performance or design decisions.

11) Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
